Step One: Complete the Course
The first step in becoming an Agent in VA is to complete 60 hours of approved pre-licensing education. We’ve linked some schools to choose from below!
Step Two: Pass the Course Final Exam!
Yup, just like any other class you must past the courses final exam. As long as you study and take notes, you’ll be fine! We don’t mind helping you out if you have questions about the exam.
Step Three: Pass the State Exam
Now that you’ve passed the course exam, you must pass the state and national exam! Don’t worry, you got this!
Step Four: Complete Fingerprinting
Now that you’ve passed all the exams, you need to get fingerprinted! The process is very easy, especially now that the exams are out of the way.
Step Five: Select a Sponsoring Broker
You’ll need to choose your brokerage! It’s important to choose a brokerage that will help you learn your new career. We’d love to be your sponsoring brokerage!
Step Six: Mail Your Application to the DPOR
Now that all the steps are complete, fill out your application and mail it to the DPOR. Allow a bit of time for them to review and accept your application. Then, you’re ready for action!
